Today I visited the spot in Prairie View, Texas where the events that led to the police death of Sandra Bland began, and also the spot where Deputy Darren Goforth was murdered in Harris County.
These locations are within 40 miles of each other.
We can't keep on living this way. We each must make an internal decision to live in society with truth, openness & peace. There has be a way forward.
It is up to each to find this way forward. Our public officials and official establishment so often don't seem to have the ability or the willingness to lead and to find the better path.
Along the lines of what I say above--- The conduct of Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson has been shameful regarding the murder of Deputy Goforth. Her linking the death of the deputy to lawful and just protests regarding longstanding concerns with some aspects of police conduct in our nation, is disrespectful to the rule of law that Deputy Goforth upheld and disloyal to the founding principles of our nation.
