Last week I posted about the over-policed democracy rally and march from the Galleria area down Westheimer to Lamar High School. My post was shared by a local Republican. Hard right Houston City Councilmember Fred Flickinger made a remark in the comments. You see the comment above. Councilmember Flickinger, who represents Kingwood and Clear Lake, wants to know “What “rights” are they marching for?” Let’s help him with that. Please call or e-mail him to tell him what rights we are marching for. These are universal values we are discussing and Mr. Flickinger would take a campaign donation from outside the district, so you should feel free to connect with his office no matter where you are. Contact CM Flickinger now at 832-393-3008 or [email protected] Among the rights we are marching for are:
You can also remind CM Flickinger about his silence as Trump cuts impact NASA, the local National Weather Service, FEMA and the Texas Medical Center. CM Flickinger does find the time to spread misinformation about Harris County Democratic Judges. Take this opportunity to familiarize yourself with the partisan breakdown on Houston City Council. There are ten Democrats and Six Republicans. Contact all the Republicans and tell them we demand our rights & to speak up against troops in our cities and attacks on our freedom.
