3 Thoughts On Russia IN cRIMEA---tHE aMERICAN CONSERVATIVE sEES vIOLENCE iN tHE nAME oF eTHNIC pURITY aND is eNVIOUS

Here are three thoughts about the Russian invasion of Crimea-- 

1. Not only do American right-wingers admire Putin, but so does the right-wing Government in Israel. 

Many Jewish folks over the years got out of Russia and Ukraine to save their lives. 

Yet just as former Communist-hating American conservatives now like Soviet style tactics, the current Israeli government says let bygones be bygones to centuries of brutal treatment of Jewish folks.

Right-wing thugs are a global club regardless of history.

2. Mitt Romney said my late dad who fought so-called communists (But really just fellow rank-and-file soldiers) in Korea was a "freeloader" for using veteran's benefits, while at the same time Mr. Romney and his fellow extreme conservatives now admire Soviet-style rigged votes and brutality. 

3. The current day American conservative sees violence and authoritarianism in the name of ethnic and linguistic purity elsewhere in the world, and is envious that the same can't be done in the United States.
