There was a terrible crime recently in Blooming Grove Township, Pennsylvania where one state trooper was killed and another severely injured in an ambush.
Here are some details about the crime--- "Releasing a profile of the killer, Lt. Col. George Bivens said investigators are focusing on the possibility that he had an "ongoing issue with law enforcement or the government" and was targeting the Blooming Grove barracks specifically.....The gunman might be unstable and ranted about his dispute with law enforcement to friends or on social media......He probably lived in the area and made several trips to the barracks to formulate his plans. He used a .308-caliber rifle and was probably an avid hunter or had formal training, and regularly practiced at a shooting range to keep his skills sharp." I'm not at all saying that every person who has a grievance of government or who is wary of government is somebody who is going to attack the police. Such is clearly not the case. But it is difficult to fully understand the police harassment of Occupy Wall Street protestors and the need for tanks in Ferguson, Missouri when it seems that the biggest threat to police safety is people with radical anti-government views. Police officers and all people would be better off to have a more clear sense about who is really looking to do them harm. Please read all of NeilAquino.com
