GREEN PARTY CONVENTION OFFERED HOPEFUL VISION OF AMERICA---A BROAD COALITION OF OPENNESS AND OPTIMISM

This photo is from the opening reception of the national Green Party convention recently held in Houston. I attended this reception. 

The people at the convention were mostly kind & simply want a more just America. Many traveled to Houston at personal expense.

I've seen Occupy Wall Street, the Greens & the Sanders campaign mocked and marginalized by many Democrats. If you are smarter than all these folks or feel they are deserving of ridicule---then that is your thing.

I'm not asking you to vote for anybody. I'm not saying here what I will do in November.

I'm just saying these folks are doing their best and have useful things to offer.

They've chosen involvement over non-involvement.

​They are part of a broad left-of-center outlook that at its best is hopeful and intellectually open. You are certainly free to embrace a contrary outlook.     

Let's make common cause with all our allies and friends and move forward.
