BECOMING A VOLUNTEER DEPUTY VOTER REGISTRAR IN HARRIS COUNTY---NOT A SWIFT PROCESS

I took the class today to be a Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar here in Harris County, TX.

Because the Voter Registrar office has not yet converted to electricity or for whatever reason, it takes 10 (ten) business days to get the certification to be able to register anybody. Also, after you get that card in the mail, you then have to go to an office to get the needed forms.

While I've yet not figured out how and where, I've set a goal of registering 50 people before the October 11 deadline. If you are taking part in registration efforts, please feel free to e-mail me at naa618@attn.net. I'd be happy to join you.

​I've included two photos of my outing today. One making the point that Trump's followers intend everything they say and the other of two women from the location of the class who are at the window discussing the nature of freedom. (That is my guess as to what they were discussing.)

​The Democratic challenger in 2016 to be the new local voter registrar is Ann Harris Bennett. Please consider her campaign.
