BEST HOPES TO OUR NEIGHBORS IN MEXICO HIT BY HURRICANE PATRICIA---TEXANS NEED TO BE PATIENT AND SAFE ON RAIN SOAKED ROADS THIS WEEKEND

Peace and best hopes to folks in Mexico who are being impacted by Hurricane Patricia. 

I know I'll be making a donation to a relief agency after the storm to assist our neighbors in Mexico after the storm has passed.

The people in Mexico being hit by the hurricane our are neighbors who need our thoughts and likely our help with donations to relief agencies after the storm has passed. People who describe our Mexican neighbors as somehow alien or bad are very nasty. Openness and hope needs to prevail over authoritarianism and anger.

May I also please ask all Texans to be mindful of the rain in our state that will be caused by the remnants of the hurricane, and to make careful decisions on the road this weekend.  Substantial rains are expected throughout Texas over the next few days. 

​It does not take much water to wash your car and your life away. Texans understand how much both driving and climate define our daily lives. Please use this knowledge to your benefit over the next few days.
