BRITISH ELECTIONS TAKE PLACE FOR THE PURPOSE OF METAPHOR

The British elections are today. 

I've followed these elections closely. I've watched Prime Minster's Question Time on C-Span since Margaret Thatcher & Neil Kinnock were the main actors. 

Last year I took a tour of Westminster and was able to walk on the floor of the House of Commons.

It is likely no party will obtain a parliamentary majority in these elections. A coalition will have to be formed. 

All individuals are internally divided. 

Personalities are comprised of many traits for both good and ill. 

While sometimes we all face the internal no confidence vote of not being at our best, I hope I'm able to cobble together enough positive aspects of my nature to have an internal majority of kindness and creativity that is reflected in my public conduct of life.

Whatever is taking place in life, there is an accompanying metaphor.  I sometimes speculate that metaphor is in fact the real substance of things.
