DAY ONE OF 100,000 STEP ALL-WEEK WALK OF KINDNESS AND RESPECT IN HOUSTON---NEAR NORTHSIDE AND WASHINGTON

Today I walked the first segment of my all-week "100,000 steps in Houston with my sign calling for kindness and respect for all."

I'm glad to be here in America and I welcome all people in our great diverse city of Houston to be my fellow Americans  

I've walked my first 23,507 steps of the 100,000. 

​I walked in the Near Northside area and on Washington Ave.

I generally avoid taking pictures of people in my travels about Houston and I avoid taking pictures of houses that could use some repair. I don't want to exploit anything. 

There are many people in Houston who could use our help and kindness. We all need kindness. 

 I encourage you to go out and see all of Houston, or, if you do not live here,  go and see the place where you live.  Be familiar and aware of all the places in your city or community.

Many people also out on the streets of Houston today greeted me as I walked. Most people--even if they are having a difficult time in life at a given moment--are kind and open if treated with regard and respect.
