DES PLAINES RIVER IN COOK COUNTY FOREST DISTRICT----WHO KNOWS WHERE EVENTS WILL LEAD US?

Here is the Des Plaines River yesterday as it passes through a Cook County, Illionois Forest Preserve District in Suburban Chicago.

I did not know I'd be here in the Chicago suburbs a few days ago. But this is where life has taken me here due to unexpected circumstances.

I'm not sure the Des Plaines River we see here is the cleanest body of water, yet there is something to be said for a nature area not far from the third biggest city in the country.
