FAST FOOD WORKER PROTESTS TAKING PLACE IN THE U.S AND ACROSS THE WORLD---THE WORK OF FREEDOM IS UP TO EACH OF US

Actions supporting higher wages and better working conditions for fast-food workers are taking place in 150 American cities and in 30 cities overseas as well.

More and more we see that the needed response to the big issues of fair treatment of working people in our changing economy, the immediate threat of climate change and fighting back against constant surveillance, will take place first on the streets and in the public square rather than in our money-owned legislative chambers.  

Even a moderate voice such as New York Times foreign affairs columnist Thomas Friedman sees the real hope for progress moving to the streets and to the outdoor public square.  

Everyday it becomes more clear that the work of freedom is up to each of us.
