FEELING ALONE AFTER DROPPING WIFE OFF AT AIRPORT, I TOOK A DRIVE TO SEE NEW THINGS---DOING SO MADE ME FEEL BETTER

I dropped my wife off at the airport in Houston today so she could fly home to visit family and friends. 

Feeling somewhat lonely at the wife’s departure, I took a drive to go and see new things. 

I rode to the towns of Cleveland, Livingston and Onalaska. I’d never before visited Livingston or Onalaska. 

People in these towns were going about their day.

Internally, I wished the people I saw the best.

Externally, I was quiet and sought to proceed with my outing.

On this trip, I also saw Lake Livingston for the first time.

The lake was nice and basically blue. It was restful to look at the lake.

It was good to exert an active and hopeful approach to the negative thoughts I'd had earlier in the day.  

It was good to drive about to see things and to think about things.
