GALVESTON IS A GOOD PLACE TO VISIT---THERE IS A LOT TO DO

The IHOP on the Galveston Seawall has a good view of the Gulf of Mexico. 

In the 18 years I've lived in Houston, I've visited Galveston maybe every six weeks or so.

Galveston is just 50 miles away from Houston. 

People in Houston sometimes get snobby about Galveston. They say the water is not blue or whatever.

I've found that a good test of people are okay or not, is if they have open mind about Galveston. 

There are places to eat, historical homes and places to visit and the chance to take a nice walk along the water. 

You can have an ocean view with your meal for the price of a plate of pancakes.
