![]() As I said yesterday here on the blog, I went to a Texas primary early voting polling place to hand out to voters all I know. Here I am in the act. Here is all I know---- Here is what I’ve learned in 50 years---I’m giving away all I know. Like you, I want to be heard. There is much to communicate, but not much to say. Enjoying and appreciating everyday things is a radical act. The things around us each day in our lives have value. Intellectualism is often no more than thoughtful observations about everyday life. We can all do that. Be intellectual. Just don’t be a windbag. Kindness, openness and showing up cut through many hassles. Don’t let the nature of the people who hold power in our society degrade you. Support good things and oppose bad things out of regard for yourself. Challenging power involves actually challenging people who have power and the systems that maintain power. Listen to people and include people. Between the vastness of existence and the vulnerability of the individual, often I’m surprised that there are as many positive outcomes in our collective lives as actually do occur. Maintain longterm friendships as best you can. This is what I know after 50 years. Neil Aquino naa618@att.net NeilAquino.com Here is a gallery of my photography. Here is a gallery of my public art.
