I SPOKE TO LONGTIME FRIEND ON PHONE THIS EVENING ---WE DISCUSSED PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE & COMMITTED TO CONSISTENT CONTACT IN DAYS AHEAD

Tonight I spoke on thee phone to my longtime friend Chris on the phone.

We'd been trying to connect for a few weeks. This evening we were able to connect.

Chris and I met in 1982.

Or some year such as 1982.

Chris and I discussed aspects of the past. 

We discussed the value of today. 

We discussed the hopeful but also tentative nature of the future. 

Chris and I are both glad that we were both part of the Cincinnati punk rock scene of the early 1980's.

In a moment of vanity, Chris and I reflected that we both were well-known within that scene. 

To balance the vanity, we recalled that many people we knew at that time are now dead.

Chris and I agreed that it is essential for friends to keep in touch.  We committed to remaining in consistent contact in the days ahead.
