I'M AMERICAN FROM THE ARCTIC CIRCLE TO TIERRA DEL FUEGO---IT IS A NEW WORLD YOU CAN DEFINE AS YOU WISH

All 131 items of the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art's new exhibit on the Indians of the Great Plains are online. Just as are all exhibits in the museum's collection of American art.

I'm very American and I like to look at these things. 

I view my Americanness as running from the Arctic Circle to Tierra del Fuego. 

Which is not to imply that I have any great knowledge of all the cultures & nations in that expanse. 

I'm very American and my father was a combat veteran who never said a patriotic word in least in my presence. 

You can define your Americanness--or lack of Americanness--as you wish.
