Good longterm relationships give a sense of permanence that for a moment puts off the fact of death.

It has been 36 years since I lived in a place where I had any blood family beyond my parents within 250 miles. My wife & I have for 18 years lived in Houston with no blood relations within 1000 miles.

Life is fun, hopeful and interesting. I like to drive around and walk around and look at things.
