Mass shootings rally and excite Trump's base & Republicans.

First there is the simple thrill of the violence. They love violence.

Then there is the opportunity to reaffirm support for guns at all places at all times. Each Republican seeks to out do the other in that respect. It is like a fun game.

Then you have with each incident the desensitizing of people to terrible acts of killing. The next shooter must kill even more to get attention. Who will be up to the challenge?

That lone shooter with a big gun--What a test of self-reliance.

The death is a rush. It fuels the fantasy--to the extent it is not a real plan--of shooting libtards, foreigners and folks of color.

And finally, there is the jackpot that it could happen to you.

It is satisfying to degrade yourself with political ideologies based on hatred of others.

It is even more of a personal relief to mutilate yourself through support of terrible public policies so long as the people you hate are hurt as well.

But to be willing to risk the self-negation of death as the consequence of actively seeking a fully depraved and violent society? Oh! Nothing could better satisfy the need to establish loyalty to Trump.

Why does anybody think that people who love these shootings will do anything to stop them?
