MEMORIAL DAY 2015---FIGURE IT OUT FOR YOURSELF

My dad was a Korean War combat vet who to my recollection never said one word extolling the virtues of faith, family or flag in my presence. 

While I know many fine folks discuss such things, it also seems that millions go on about these things to no moral benefit or it even just makes them meaner. 

Dad never once said he merited acknowledgment on Veteran's Day or Memorial Day. He would describe his service if I asked, but that was all. 

I've been better off in life for figuring these things out for myself.
