NFL CONCUSSION SETTLEMENT---FOOTBALL IS A PUBLIC HEALTH CRISIS

Here is a report on the NFL concussion settlement approved today by a federal judge. 

The NFL has been crippling players for years with head and brain injuries. 

This fact of head and brain injuries continues. Football harms players at every level it is played. 

Taxpayers in my two home counties of Hamilton County, Ohio, Harris County, Texas & elsewhere as well, will have the costs of this needed settlement passed on to them as they pay for the stadiums where NFL players have their brains bashed out. 

The end point simply needs to be that football is banned or radically changed. 

The longterm victories against cigarette smoking show that such an outcome is possible.

Football is a public health crisis.
