I'm on the far left in a suit & top Texas blogger Perry Dorrell is just to the right in shirt & tie. Occupy brought some hope, gave us the term the 99%, led to some lasting friendships, offered a few lessons and moved the public debate to the left. I'm glad I was part of Occupy Houston and the overall Occupy Wall Street movement for the few months it stuck around. Occupy may well have played a role in the ongoing and often successful efforts to raise the minimum wage in the United States and in framing the economic debate for the 2016 Presidential race. Maybe the next movement will be even bigger & better. The work of freedom is up to each of us. We have to work for something more hopeful in our nation and world. That is the only way that our everyday lives and everyday work will be fully valued. Please read all of NeilAquino.com
