PEACE & REST TO THE DEAD IN MEDITERRANEAN MIGRANT BOAST DISASTER---KINDNESS AND REALITY ARE THE SAME POLICY TOWARDS IMMIGRANTS

Peace & rest to the over 700 migrants who drowned in the boat capsizing in the Mediterranean Sea. 

Despite all the risks, people will do what they need to do for a better life for themselves and their families. 

The response to this need just can't be fences and bigotry and turning inward.

Here in Texas, our legislature wants to build fences instead of dealing with reality.  

These measures won't hold. They never do. 

The world is connected by transportation, economics, the internet, by suffering and by kindness.

Let's focus on all the above but the suffering. 

Kindness and reality are part of the same policy when dealing with immigrants and migrants.
