ROWAN COUNTY, KENTUCKY CLERK KIM DAVIS IS A FELLOW HUMAN BEING---IT WAS BILL CLINTON WHO TOOK REAL STEPS TO STOP GAY MARRIAGE

I don't agree with County Clerk Kim Davis in Rowan County, Kentucky who will not issue gay marriage licenses, but the people mocking her previous divorces and her clothes are not courteous. She is a human being. The Supreme Court has ruled and the process will move forward. No insults are required.

Would we be so focused on her clothes if she were a man?

We on the left are very big on identity politics. Except for white rural people. We seem sometimes to be of the view it is okay to mock white rural people.

We all know Ms. Davis is fighting a losing battle. 

It was Bill Clinton who signed the Defense of Marriage Act that actually did effectively stop gay marriages. 

Some of us on the left should send Ms. Davis a check like we'd pay a therapist for making us feel better about ourselves, as so many of us work to return the people who really did trample our rights back to power.
