![]() I took this picture recently of ongoing construction of a new walkway along Buffalo Bayou in Houston. Seeing this, I thought that you have to start someplace and then add the connecting parts with work, a plan and imagination. You can do this even if at first you seem isolated from other connection. The everyday things we see in the world help us understand the world. At least they do if we take just a bit of time to look at and think about what we are seeing. The everyday work of starting something new and then building upon our efforts is up to each of us. That is up to us includes the help of others, and also allows for society as a whole to construct the needed infrastructure of everyday safety and care for others. You get the idea.
