TEXAS CITY BUC-EE'S MINIMUM WAGE OF $11 MAKES IT A CENTER OF FOODIE CULTURE---AN IDEA FOR TRENDY HOUSTON RESTAURANTS
I'd be more impressed with all the trendy restaurants in Houston if they had a sign at the entrance discussing above-minimum wages that staff received.
Here is a picture of a sign I saw today at the Buc-ees in Texas City.
A bottom line of food and foodie culture needs to be not just the experience of the moment at a place that may or not be around in a few months, but also the wages offered to staff who work hard each day.
Also, there is the responsibility of working people to stick together, treat each other well and demand that elected officials look out for the interests of everyday people.
The work of freedom is in the end up to each of us.
