Regarding the recent deaths of Lemmy Kilmister from Motorhead and of Meadowlark Lemon of the Harlem Globetrotters----

I once found myself sitting next to Lemmy at a bar called Sudsy Malones in Cincinnati. This was in the late 80's

I was reading the Cincinnati Post. I saw Lemmy next to me and asked him to sign an advertisement in the paper for Judge Wapner & The People's Court.

Lemmy asked me who Judge Wapner was and I explained. He said that was okay and signed the picture and drew a Lemmy mustache on Judge Wapner's face.

I cut out the ad and carried it in my wallet for years until it finally disintegrated.

Also, in the 1970's I saw the Harlem Globetrotters from a very high seat in the Providence Civic Center.

I waved to Lemon from the cheap seats and he waved back all the way down from the court.

I recall that wave to this day.

Lemmy and Lemon did small acts of kindness years ago that still make a difference in my life.

We all have the capacity to do acts of kindess that make a difference in everyday life.

Everyday life, everyday relationships and everyday work matter a great deal and we should insist that the value of these things be recognized by our political and economic structures and systems.

Above is Lemmy. Below is Meadowlark with Betty Ford.
