![]() I went to Houston City Hall this morning to speak for the GLBT anti-discrimination ordinance that was up for debate today. I had signed up to speak for one minute two weeks ago after the item was last discussed before City Council. But when I got to City Hall this morning at nine , the Council meeting room nwas just so damned crowded and hot and I took off. I drove around and ended up at the Baytown Nature Center. This is the place you see in the picture. I'll have make up for it with some other convential civic engagement down the line, but I quickly came to the view this morning that I could not stand & sit inside all day on a day off work. So I'm sorry not to have been there---But these are the facts. The Baytown Nature Center is a nice place to visit. I'd never heard of the place before I drove past it today. The lady at the gate was nice and we talked for a few moments. I think it was a day well spent. Please read all of NeilAquino.com

I don't blame you. There were more than 200 public comments on the issue, and you go look at the time I left you the comment yesterday, you'll know what time you would have ended up speaking.
