TRUMP SAYS THERE WILL BE NO DACA DEAL---WE MUST CONFRONT WHAT THAT MEANS

President Trump now says there  will be no DACA  deal.

This is no surprise---The people in power are bigots, much of the voter base that elects these people is cruel and ICE agents are the bottom of the barrel.

​If we have not already begun to fully understand the implications of Donald Trump is saying and doing regarding DACA, we must start right now asking ourselves serious questions.  

Will we provide sanctuary for DACA individuals in our homes?

Fund sanctuary networks?

Insist that local elected officials not cooperate with ICE?

Ask our religious leaders to extend sanctuary to these people?

This is the reality we will have to confront.

Beyond the wrongness of it all, there is no way these people so integrated into our society can be rounded up in a way that will not endanger all our civil liberties.

​The work of freedom is to each of us.  

Our elected officials will only be brave if we are brave.
