VISIT HOUSTON LIVESTOCK SHOW AS A CITY-DWELLER TO SEE TO A DEGREE HOW FOLKS LIVE AND WHAT THEY VALUE

Today I went to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. That is where I took this picture. 

While I don't have much interest in the rodeo part as I have concerns that the animals are mistreated, it is interesting to walk around and see the animals brought for judging in the livestock pens, and to see all the people at the state fair sized carnival also at the rodeo.

If you take some time to look around, you see the people who bring the animals to the rodeo. I try to think about how they live and what they value in contrast to a city dweller such as myself.

Of course, what most people no matter what value most is everyday life, everyday work and everyday relationships.
