This is the first post of a new blog called All People Have Value. Above is a picture of the blogger. I live in Houston, Texas.
This blog will say that all people have the ability to provide leadership and to engage in hopeful meaningful actions on a consistent basis.
Everyday life has meaning and purpose.

In addition to this main theme, there will be posts involving various issues of the day, City of Houston politics, pictures I take and other things as I think of them.
We are being failed by the current political system to such a degree that we now lessen our ability to hopefully influence the future when we align ourselves or cast our lot with established power. At the same time, we cannot fail ourselves by giving up or by fighting with each other for no good reason. As individuals and by working collectively, we can reconstruct our society from the bottom and middle up.
Because meanness and greed have been so aggressively pushed in our politics and society, the personal decision to be nice, flexible of mind and inclusive has taken on political meaning. These everyday actions--and the tough-minded resistance these actions now assert--can serve as a platform for organizing and for new ways of doing things that offer hope for the days ahead.
I will be updating All People Have Value often. I ask you to please consider reading the blog on a regular basis and to offer comments and ideas if so inclined.
