Sri Lanka has allowed China to pay for the construction of new shipping ports in Sri Lanka.

From Reuters---"The growing influence of China in Sri Lanka has worried India, a neighbour that feels hemmed in by a string of similar port developments stretching from Myanmar to Pakistan and that it fears give the Chinese navy a strategic boost in the region. However, the ports are designed for commercial operations and are mostly not yet fully operational."

Who knows what is planned for today or what will develop in these ports in the future? The intent may be purely commercial now, but it seems likely China would use any influence it could find if someday in military conflict with India.

All I can say, is if you let somebody else build your ports it  seems also that you lose control of what ships arrive and what goods arrive.

The picture in the post is of the Lego port to be built in my home.

This port will receive optimism, creativity, truth & anybody who wishes to be friendly and open. It will be open to ideas of everyday resistance to the prevailing culture.

Let's use our own efforts to be open to the best and most hopeful things.
