![]() I went to the James Bond Spectre movie this evening. While at the theater, I imagined my own James Bond movie. My years living in Cincinnati and Houston informed my thinking. My personal James Bond movie would have things such as-- A boat chase of old time fake tourist paddle wheelers from Newport, Kentucky across the Ohio River to Cincinnati. A casino scene playing slots at the Delta Downs "racino" just over the Louisiana line from Beaumont. Tuxedo dining at Frisch's Big Boy breakfast buffet, White Castle & the Texas City Buc-ees. A Kraftwerk theme song. Exotic location shoots at places I'd like to visit someday such as the Truman Library in Missouri & the Tow Truck museum in Chattanooga. Taking pictures in plain view with my iphone. Interludes with my wife as we catch up on missed episodes of Project Runway & NCIS that ran while I was on assignment. A villain who cuts people off on the highway and an extra-evil villain who rides a bike around town but does not observe stop signs. Getting my 3000 mile oil change on the Honda so I can drive a good car. The wife & I driving to Galveston at completion of the mission for a walk along the Seawall but getting stuck behind a convoy of oversized loads on I-45. Our lives are plenty exciting. Don't sell yourself short when it comes to the value of everyday life. Please follow me on Instagram. My user name is Neil_Aquino. Please read all of NeilAquino.com Comments are closed.
