Here is the Zigzag Bridge at the Chicago Botanic Garden.
I took this picture earlier this week at the garden.
The bridge leads to the Japanese Garden exhibit.
A plaque on the ground in front of the Zigzag Bridge says the following---"An ancient legend says that evil spirits move only in straight lines and cannot follow those that cross the Zigzag Bridge."
I like this account a great deal.
The flexible, good-natured and adaptable move forward, while the rigid, mean-spirited and literal-minded are left behind.
