Houston Winter Shade

Here is a picture of some winter shade in Houston. Photography is a part of the Houston Democracy Project. Here are a number of my pictures. Please take a look.

The situation at the Texas border grows more tense each day. Governor Abbott and his seditious allies don't respect the Constitution. We need to be ready and not afraid of wherever the conflicts of 2024 take us.

The Houston Democracy Project works daily to inspire, organize and strengthen pro-democracy coalitions in Houston and Harris County. The Project will continue through 2024 at the least.

I’m a rank & file Democrat, activist and Houstonian who wants to live in a free society. I’ve volunteered extensively for Democratic candidates and causes, and served as paid staff for multiple Democratic campaigns. My work for Democratic campaigns has involved communications and strategy.

I’m an organizer of the Weekly John Cornyn Houston Office Protest. The Cornyn Protest team has been outside Senator Cornyn’s office each Tuesday for seven years now with one clear message: In addition to voting, we must show up physically and non-conventionally for the fights over democracy ahead.

I’m a member of the Southwest Democrats, Tejano Democrats, Bayou Blue Democrats and the Houston LGBTQIA Caucus. I have a political science degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati and ran a Cincinnati City Council office.

I read a lot of books and follow baseball closely.
